Unit 8 Birthdays

   you do on your birthday? I usually ...

3. 能初步感知序数词的构成和用法。

4. 能正确、流利地朗读并理解故事

5. 学生能在理解的基础上合作复述故事

6. 能感恩父母。

教学重点和难点:

教学重点:能正确理解并朗读课文,在教师的帮助下尝试复述课文。

教学难点:能初步运用本课所学的词汇和句型询问别人的生日以及如 

         何过生日。

教学过程:

Step 1 Warming up.

1. Greeting.

T: Great. Now let’s review some ordinal numbers. Can you tell me? S:..

T: 1,2,3特殊记。Let’s look at some other ordinal numbers.

T: 基数词尾加上th构成序数词。But there are some exceptions. Such as...

T: ve变为f再加th. Eight turns to eighth, nine turns to ninth. We find 8要去...... 整十去y变ie 几十几十位不变个未变。So there are some rules. Let’s read together.

T: Yeah, It’s the twentieth of may. It’s a special date to me. Can you guess why? S:...

T: Do you want to know your classmates’ birthdays. Now choose one to ask.  

T: Do you remember their birthdays. Maybe not. But do you remember how to ask one’s birthday.

T: Good. When’s your birthday. And how to answer.

T: Absolutely right. It’s on the 序数词of 月份。

T: So this lesson we will learn Unit 8 Birthdays.

   Now look at my birthday things.

Step 2: Presentation

1.But today we don’t talk about my birthday. We will talk about Su Hai’s

  and Mike’s birthdays.

  What do you want to know about their birthdays?

T: let’s read these two questions together.

  First, Listen and find the answers.

  Read after the tape.

2. Next we watch the cartoon and find the answers of these two question.

   1,2,3answer q1. The rest three answer q2.

   Did you catch the answers? Q1 how about q2

3. Then let’s read.1 minutes underline the activities. Do we lose some?

   Now look at the blackboard. Su Yang and Su Hai usually have a big

   dinner with their parents and grandparents. They eat some noodles.

   After that, they play with Kitty the cat. They have a good time.

   Mike, Tim and Helen always have a party at home. They buy a

   birthday cake in the morning. Then Mike’s friends come in the

   afternoon. They eat the birthday cake together and play some games.

   They have a lot of fun.

4. Ok, practice with your partner. Try to retell the passage.

5. What other things do you do on your birthday?

Step 3. Consolidation

1. This is my birthday. I want to know about how do you celebrate your birthday?

  You can write it down and share in group. I want to know about your birthday plan.

  Who do you want to know?(3组)

2. We all have our birthdays, but do you remember the persons who gave

  births to us. Who? Yeah, our mothers. So what do you think you should

  do to your mothers? In my opinion, the most important thing is to give

  thanks to our parents, especial to our mothers. Children's birthdays are

  mothers' suffering days. They pain but happiness. Remember to do this

  on your birthday, children.

Step 4. Homework

1. Read Story time 5 times.

2. Copy the phrases.

3. Give thanks to your parents.

教后反思:

本课时是第八单元的第一课时。主要教学Su Hai和Su Yang以及Mike的生日和他们在生日那天做的事情。主要涉及的句型有When's ...'s birthday? What do/does ... do on ...'s birthday?这一课的主题接近学生的生活,是学生比较感兴趣的话题。在教学的过程中,学生的参与度是很高的。学生对这些话题的讨论,也是非常令人满意的。对句型的掌握也是能够达到运用的程度。但在教学的过程中,也体现出一些问题。如日期的表达。部分学生在日期的表达中,忘记the是时常的出现。还有部分学生,在日期的表达中,不用序数词用基础词也是常出现的问题。有少部分的学生,月份的拼写上出现错误。这些问题,都是需要在后续的教学中加以重视和巩固的。

在以后的教学中我将多从孩子的实际能力出发,充分预设所设计的教学活动可能会产生的教学效果,力求让这种课后的反思少点,课后能感受到的点滴成功经验多点。
